Who is behind Car Insurance Minimums

Radif Partners

Independent publisher of a state-by-state reference to minimum car insurance requirements in the United States

Radif Partners is an independent publisher based in France. This site exists because the answer to "what is the minimum car insurance in my state?" is three numbers set by law. Here the figure comes first, with the official page it was read on and the date.

What we do

We read each state's motor vehicle agency page, insurance department page or statute, record the three liability figures, and note the date. Where a state's site refused our declared reader, did not answer it or gave no liability figure on the page, the state stays marked not verified. We do not fill it from another website.

What the tools do

The tools apply the caps to figures you enter, in your browser. Nothing is sent or stored. The crash amounts are your own scenario; we publish no average crash cost, no premium and no estimate of what cover should cost.

What we are not

We are not a government agency, an insurer, a broker or a law firm. We give no quote and take no referral fee. Nothing here links to an insurer or a lawyer. Everything is general information, not insurance or legal advice.

How it is paid for

Nothing is sold here. If advertising is added one day, it will not sit inside a tool, and it cannot see what you type.

Tell us when something is wrong

Legislatures raise limits, as North Carolina and Virginia did recently. If a figure differs from the official page, write to contact@carinsuranceminimums.com with the link. See also the method and the editorial policy.
