California's minimum is 30/60/15, and its DMV says insurance is required on all vehicles operated or parked on California roads, so a parked car counts too. Evidence of insurance must be in the vehicle and shown when law enforcement asks, at registration renewal and after a collision. If the DMV receives no proof, it suspends the registration, and the vehicle may not be driven or parked on public roads until proof arrives. You must tell the DMV before cancelling a policy, and a car you have stopped using can be covered by an Affidavit of Non-Use (REG 5090). Instead of a policy, the page accepts a $75,000 cash deposit, a $75,000 surety bond or a self-insurance certificate. It also lists the California Proof of Insurance Certificate, form SR 22, among accepted evidence. We found no reinstatement fee on that page, so we quote none. The $15,000 property line is below the $25,000 common in our table.

Not verified means that we did not read the rule on an official page. It does not mean that the rule is absent, and we do not infer at-fault status from silence. Ask the state before relying on a blank.
